Comparison
bruhgrow vs VEED
VEED is a browser-based video editor with a long feature list: subtitles, recording, templates, stock media and more. Your footage is uploaded to VEED’s servers, there is a free plan with limits and several subscription tiers. bruhgrow is not an editor. It does a handful of video jobs very directly, and the footage never leaves your computer.

When VEED is the better choice
- You are editing a video: timeline, text overlays, transitions, stock footage.
- You want styled subtitle templates and translation.
- You collaborate with a team inside one project.
When bruhgrow is the better choice
- You have a finished video and need subtitles burned in or an SRT file.
- You recorded a talk or a lesson and want the dead air cut out automatically.
- The footage is confidential, or you simply do not want to upload a 2 GB file.
How bruhgrow makes subtitles
Speech recognition runs on your device with a Whisper model that is downloaded once and cached. You can edit every line before saving. The output is an MP4 with the subtitles burned in, or a plain SRT or VTT file.
Questions
- How accurate are the subtitles?
- Good for clear speech in common languages, comparable to other Whisper-based tools. You can fix any line in the editor before saving.
- Does bruhgrow add a watermark?
- No. Saved files are yours with nothing added.
- Can I style the subtitles?
- You can set the font size and whether they sit at the top or bottom when burning in. For heavier styling, save the SRT and use it in your editor.
