About Normalize audio
Fix recordings that are too quiet or wildly uneven. The tool measures loudness the way streaming platforms do and adjusts to a standard target, −16 LUFS by default, so your audio sits at the same level as everything else.
- −16 LUFS suits podcasts and voice; −14 LUFS is the YouTube and Spotify target.
- Peaks are limited so loud parts do not clip.
- Run Remove silence first for the tightest result.
How to use it
- 1Drop a video or audio file.
- 2Keep the podcast target or pick one for YouTube or broadcast.
- 3Download the normalized file.
Questions
- What is LUFS?
- A measure of perceived loudness used by streaming services. Matching their target means your audio will not be turned down or sound quiet.
- Will it change the sound?
- Only the level. The tone and dynamics stay the same apart from gentle peak limiting.
- Is my recording uploaded?
- No. Everything runs in your browser, so your files never leave your device.
